Cherry Creek Arts Festival

For the second year in a row I was an official photographer of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver this year. Held over the 4th of July weekend every year, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival is considered one of the premier outdoor arts festivals in the United State. I photographed two of the three days and once again thoroughly enjoyed doing this. It is great people-watching only I get to capture the memories forever through candid street photography. The photos I selected for my website are in the gallery below, Cherry Creek Arts Festival-2016.

America's Parks: A Centennial Celebration

My image, Sails in the Dunes (see the Landscape-Great Sand Dunes gallery), has not only been selected for showing in the America's Parks: A Centennial Celebration at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo, Colorado, but was awarded 2nd Place! The exhibit runs from June 4, 2016 to August 7, 2016. This was a national competition that was juried by nationally-renowned Colorado legend landscape photographer, John Fielder. An incredible Ansel Adams exhibit is also showing at another gallery within the Arts Center.

Exploring the Light Exhibition

I am honored that my image of The Cranes' Morning has been selected for showing in the juried Exploring the Light exhibition at the beautiful new Lone Tree Arts Center in Lone Tree, Colorado. The show was juried by professional photographer George Jardine and will run from April 27 through May 29. This should be an excellent show and I look forward to seeing the other artists' work.

Honorable Mention Awarded

The image "Sea Cave Doors", which is the thumbnail cover image of the Landscape-Lake Superior collection, was recently awarded Honorable Mention in a recent competition of the Front Range Photography Club. The image was photographed at the "Ice Caves" of northern Wisconsin in Lake Superior. These are a hidden gem with limited access that I was able to photograph with perfect fall evening light.

Eye of the Camera Exhibition

Two of my images have been selected for exhibition in the 50th annual Eye of the Camera show in Littleton, Colorado.
